I love working with REALTORS® on marketing. Together we can reach more people and have a bigger impact than we can alone. Plus, I love hearing marketing ideas from other people! Here are some ways I think we can work together on marketing in the future.
Direct mail is still a great way to reach people as long as you’re sending information that they’ll find valuable. We can co-brand the postcards and work together on the information we present.
Here are a few examples of postcard topics:

- Portland Market Update
- Ways to Make Your Home More Energy Efficient
Combined Client Party
One of my favorite marketing tactics is to throw client parties! They’re a lot of work, but they’re also a whole lot of fun for us and them.
Parities are a great way to re-connect with clients in a relaxed atmosphere. We can throw a client appreciation party together and meet each other’s clients in a low-key way.
Team Up with a Local Business
I think it’s so important to support local businesses and find ways to encourage our clients to support them, too.
We can find a local business we both like and approach it to see if they’d be willing to offer a coupon to our clients. For example, perhaps a local coffee shop would give them 20% off. It’s good exposure for us and for the business we work with.
I know finding ways to serve our local community is as important to you as it is to me. We’re a part of this community, and we should help it thrive. Plus, Portland has so many good charitable causes that it’s not hard to find one to support.
I’d like to be more involved with local charities, and we could work together to host an event that helps a cause we both care about. We could invite clients together so we can do twice the good we can do alone.
Host a Seminar Together
I frequently host seminars for my clients and REALTORS® (you may have been to one or two). I’ve recently hosted a stager, a home energy auditor, and an estate planning lawyer. I’d love to work with you to host a seminar on a topic that’s important to our clients.
Seminars are a great way for us to be useful to clients because they get to learn about something that’s important to them in a small setting. They can ask questions, get feedback, and talk to us, too.
